September 2008 - Fernside Boss gets Award

Shaun Bridgeman and the staff at Fernside Recovery have received an award from Dorset's Deputy Fire Chief in recognition of over 5 years support of the Dorset Fire and Rescue Service Community Safety Events. Fernside staff give up their spare time to transport vehicles to community safety events to promote the Fire and Rescure Services and help train crews.

Deputy Fire Chief, Nigel Williams says "Shaun and his company are great. He does a lot of work to help bring down road deaths in this county. He is not the sort of man to make a big thing about what he does, but he deserves this award."

Fire and Rescue Service Community Safety Specialist, Simon Hart says "[Shaun's] work is invaluable. Without him we would simply not be able to get to those hard to reach groups, particularly young drivers. He gives up his time, free of charge to help with our safety work."

"It is a real honour and a big surprise. My staff and I - and it is a big team effort - give up our time because we feel that if just one life can be saved it will be all worthwhile.." says Shaun.

September 2008 - New Website Launched

Following recent investments in technology at Fernside, the new website has been launched. The updated site features a cleaner look and includes a new online shop for 4x4 parts. Using secure payment processing, the shop can now process payments by credit card and paypal and parts can be shipped worldwide.

"We are always looking out for ways of growing our business and improving our customer service. The website will be used to give an insight into how we run our business and what Fernside offer, and the online shop will help us interact with our national and international customer base, rather than just the local customers." says Shaun.

Fernside help the 'Aquaholics' create a winning monster!

Fernside Garage owner Shaun Bridgeman was proud to offer adivce and help to the RNLI's winning team - the 'Aquaholics' - on Channel 4's Full Metal Challenge. The vehicle - 'Octopush' - was created using two 3.5L Range Rover V8 engines with over 150bhp each, and 8 wheels, and went on to become the series winner. An awesome machine weighing in at around 3000kg, with ample brute power and great traction!
"We are always happy to offer advice and help where we can, and being off-road enthusiasts ourselves, it was great to be involved in this project, and we are glad the local team won" says Shaun.
